AAPA News
Its that time of year when we invite you to renew your membership and update you on what's been happening in the therapy world. This year regulation has been very important and we are encouraging our member therapists to register with the CNHC.
The CNHC is the UK Regulator for complementary therapy and it will only be successful if therapists register. During the year It has listened to concerns expressed about it make up and in December will begin to introduce professional therapy members to the previuosly all lay board. The AAPA have been asking for this since it inception and are delighted that action is now being taken
There has also been some confusion about educational levels for registration. The professions have unanimously stated that the standard should be the relevant core curricula and again the CNHC has listened.
Joyce and Carole, Chair & Vice Chair of the AAPA are both officers of the Aromatherapy Council and Profession Specific Board representatives to the CNHC so your views really do count and are listened to !
